NDMA awards NOK 5.1bn marine fuel contracts

The Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (NDMA) has awarded four-year framework agreements worth approximately NOK 5.1 billion for the supply of marine gas oil to vessels operated by the Norwegian Armed Forces.

The contracts have been awarded to Bunker Oil AS, St1 Norge AS and Stonewin Capital LP. In addition to the Norwegian Armed Forces, the Institute of Marine Research, the Norwegian Coastal Administration and the Governor of Svalbard are authorised to use the agreements.

According to the NDMA, the framework agreements are intended to ensure a stable and reliable supply of marine gas oil to vessels operating along the Norwegian coastline, supporting day-to-day operations and operational readiness.

NDMA conducted the procurement through an open tender, with contracts awarded on the basis of the lowest price. 

All three suppliers have previously held equivalent framework agreements, providing established experience in meeting the operational requirements of the Norwegian Armed Forces.
